Mark your calendars: Our next dance is a week EARLY!

We can't think of a better way to say good bye to summer than a night of dancing! Come out to learn some new moves and see your dance friends. The details:

Swing and Ballroom Dance

 

When: Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017

Lesson 7 to 8 p.m.

Dance from 8 to 11 p.m.

 

Where: Little Flower School, Route 5, Great Mills

 

Cost: $10 per person

 

Details: Dancing is the best way to spend a summer night! We’ll teach a beginner-level dance lesson from 7-8 p.m. followed by dancing to music of all kinds from 8-11 p.m. No experience required! Singles always welcome! Bring a snack to share; water will be provided. Cost: $10 per person. The dance is sponsored by the Knights of Columbus of Holy Face Church.

The Dances Need YOU!

In case you missed it, the Meloneys will be moving out of the area soon, and the Silvernagels will be leaving next year. We need YOUR help to keep the dances going!

The Knights of Columbus of Holy Face Church would like to continue the dances, and volunteers from that organization will continue to help with access to the school, set up, and clean up.

Going forward, we do need help in these areas, so if you're interested in any of this, please email us at somdba...@gmail.com.

* Set up before the dances (only take 30 minutes or so)

* Running the music. There's a sound system in the gym that we can use.

* Teaching lessons. If we could get a list of folks who could rotate through the months, that would be great! Don't worry if you've never taught before. If you are comfortable dancing and know some steps the rest of us don't, you're the perfect candidate. :)
