SoMakeIt EGM & new Trustees

There will be a SoMakeIt EGM at 8pm on Tuesday 8th August. This will take place directly before the August Members' Meeting.

At least two members wish to stand as Trustees, so we will have a members' vote at the EGM.

Members wishing to stand as Trustees should make a proposal to do so. Proposals must be posted in separate messages/threads in the SoMakeIt Google Group. Proposals must be received by the end of July so they can be discussed in good time before the EGM. Votes for trustee will be anonymous, we will also take proxy votes.

Does the somakeit policies allow for proxy and remote votes? I only ask this as i have a had a issue with a charity i do work with we had to update the policies to allow this to make it legal and they had to be agreed at a meeting before they could do votes at agm the following month

Yes we've been doing this for years. Also we're a private limited company so we can pretty much do anything including current Directors vetoing the vote if they wish (we won't do that under normal circumstances though).
