Pagan discussions at the Eno River Unitarian Universalist Fellowship run every Wednesday evening from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. in rooms 4/5 of the CARE building on the ERUUF campus. For directions to ERUUF, see http://www.eruuf.org.

Join us each week as we live our paganism through discussions, rituals, and spiritual practice in a family friendly atmosphere. All ages are

October 3: Candle fun. While discussing candle magic we will make and bless our own candles this evening. We'll have the candle supplies, but everyone is encouraged to bring their own additives, such as herbs, oils, incenses, etc. Keep it legal.
You don't need to go to a witchnook and drop a lot of money on herbs and oils.  You can be surprised with what you find in your spice rack or at your local bath and body boutique.  You will be making a candle for your own purpose, so look at the list below for some ideas.  We will also have books on hand to help further decide on correspondences for your chosen intent.
Here are some suggestions for ingredients you can bring:
Herbs:
Allspice: Money, luck, healing
Basil: Love, exorcism, wealth, protection
Bay leaves: Protection, psychic powers, healing, purification, strength
Cardamon: Lust, love
Catnip: Cat magic, love, beauty, happiness
Cedar: Healing, purification, money, protection
Chamomile: Money, sleep, love, purification
Cinnamon: Spirituality, success, healing, power, psychic powers, lust, protection, love
Clove: Protection, exorcism, love, money
Ginger: Love, money, success, power
Nutmeg: Luck, money, health, fidelity
Pine: Healing, fertility, protection, exorcism, money
Rosemary: Protection, exorcism, purification,
Sage: Wisdom, healing, spirituality
Thyme: Health, healing, purification, courage

October 10: Dark Moon/New Moon discussion, ritual, and magick.  Pagans often gather on the Full moon, but what about two weeks later?  We will discuss our own practices and how you can adapt no matter what the books tell you about the moon phases.  We will hold a simple, relaxed ritual appropriate for this lunar phase.

Special workshop:
After the ERUUF pagan discussion, from 8-9 p.m. beginning September 26 and continuing until he decides to stop offering it, Chuck Doebler will teach
energy healing and Reiki, free of charge, to anyone who is interested. For those who attend several of the workshops and learn the basics of
Reiki, first degree Usui Reiki attunements will be given. Please RSVP (mailto:c_do...@hotmail.com) if you are interested in attending these workshops. Attendance every week is not required. His Reiki website is http://www.bluereiki.com.
