For some folks, solo roleplaying may not feel like roleplaying, but more like writing. Thus the question:

What is it that makes roleplaying feel like roleplaying to you?

Also,

What are the essential aspects of it that set it apart from other activities?

Do you find all of those essential aspects in solo roleplaying?
