Please moderate messages on this group

Just a suggestion to the group owner/s. It would be nice if messages to this group could be moderated before people start leaving. It has already getting quiet here.

Moderation was turned on for new members starting last September, and that seemed to have solved the spam problem. Praveen has been a member of the group for 1 1/2 years, and thus his message was not moderated. I doubt he joined the group, then decided to wait a year and half to send spam. Rather I suspect his legitimate account was hacked by a spam bot. 

Since this was the only spam message to the group within the last 5 months - I don't think it warrants turning on moderation for all messages. Rather, the mechanism of moderating new members, until proven not to be a spam bot, seems to have worked in general, and allows people who've been with the group a long time to post freely.

However, please tell me if you disagree. Anyway, you should know that moderation is already on by default for new members.

Sounds good Chris. I was not aware that default moderation is on for new users.
