The Positive Club is a new venture which is non-profit making and very
much needed .
The club is being formed to help people to FEEL GOOD about life and
themselves.
Its Mission:
The Positive Club sets out to show people that if they invest time and
effort in their own development then they can possess the knowledge
and tools that will allow them to make powerful changes in their
lives, and to give them the support to do so.
The Positive Club will focus on the three keys to unlock the power to
change:
Awareness :
The ability to unlock you from your programming, to look at your
beliefs and values, and to consider what is truly important to you,
and to ask yourself the question ; what do I really want ?
Motivation :
The ability to take action, and make life changing decisions. To
truly understand the power of goals.
Effectiveness :
The ability to review and continue your development, to make sure
you're
heading in the right direction, and if not, how to change.
I envisage The Positive Club meeting once a month for informal
seminars, presentations and study workshops. Members will be able to
purchase development literature, videos and audio cassettes.
As a member of The Positive Club you can; if you put in the time and
effort:
Nurture and build your self-confidence & self-esteem.
Focus on your personal & professional development.
Increase your motivation and reduce your stress.
Centre you on your goals and build your life mission statement.
Achieve balance with your home and work life.
What Next:
During the Autumn of this year an advertisement for The Positive Club
will appear in the Daily Echo. Should the response be favourable I
will set up the first meeting in Oct/Nov '96. There will be a small
charge to cover venue expenses, tea & coffee etc.
Meanwhile, please make your response to Jonathan Whitty by email to:
Finally, let me list some of the things The Positive Club will NOT be.
A Therapy Group.
A Cynics Club.
A Meditation Group.
Anything to do with Alternative Medicine.
A Religious Group.
A Spiritual Group
To the timeless adage by Lao Tzu: "Give a man a fish and you feed him
for a day; teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime," you
can add, "Develop teachers of fishermen and you lift all society."
