Does anyone know who said this?
is this a quiz or am I allowed to google? cos i found it by googling.
A noble phrase. Unfortunately, living ones life the way we want to often
will bring us into conflict with those who wish to live their lives the way
they want to. Therefore such an ideal seldom is practical:-)
I just thought it an unusual quote by a famous artist...you can say the name
by googling... :o}
Ahhhh....but is that not called life...and in the end do we not choose the
way we live even if it does conflict with others around us? That is what
makes us different from each other...
Lifer without conflict can only be lived by compromise. If one wishes to
live ones life without concern for other peoples values, then conflict is
inevitable. I therefore concur that conflict is inevitable in the human
state:-)
But it takes at least two people to have a conflict about life and if one of
those people digress to the other than there is no conflict and life still
goes on... :o}
Many people share the same values about life. The vast majority of people
want to have family and friends, a comfortable home to live in, enough food
and water to live, and some luxuries to indulge in.
If we could keep life that simple, we may be ok. But human beings are
animals, and betray the aspirations of animals. There is a pecking order,
and competition is rife to always be better than one's fellow man. Therefore
the human state will not allow shifting too much ground in order to achieve
compromise. Therefore conflict to a greater or lesser degree will always be
present in the human condition.
Life will never be simple as long as we take life for granted and turn a
blind eye to the fate of less fortunate (and there for the Grace of God go
I) and do nothing...
If you want to know the truth humans are worse than animals, they kill for
food...we kill for sport...how many animals do you hear about leaving babies
in with the trash...animals live in herds, pods, packs....humans are
basically loners until they find a mate and than maybe they have kids and if
the kids are really lucky they will have been born into an nonalcoholic,
non-abusive family. How many cases of rape and incest to you hear about in
the animal kingdom? How can having friends, family and a comfortable home
and a few luxuries make for a simple life? The more we have the more we want
and than the harder we have to work to achieve what we want...making
depression and suicide go up...especially at this time of year. Humans are
with just a few words capable of hurting someone they do or do not know.
This is the simple life? I think higher of most animals than I do most
humans...
This time of year more than the rest we need to take a step back and think
what we can do as individuals to help mankind in its struggle to maintain
its humanity....help those less fortunate until it hurts and than give a bit
more...in the end we win and those less fortunate win...and those causing
the conflict loose...
I don't know if you will understand what I am saying, but it is what I feel
deeply....

Actually, these practices are very very common and widely-practiced in
the animal kingdom

To be hoenst I did think of a few animals that did this after I posted, but
does this justify it being okay in the human kingdom....are we truly
animalilistic in behavior?
