Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS); what they are, what they do and
why they are jolly useful.
This will be his fifth return talk, previous subjects of his talks, the
theory of music, digital sound processing, and acoustics.
venue: St Denys Community Centre, Main Hall, SO17 2JZ.
Time 20:00 to 21:30 , with the change of structure and time, Q&A will
follow immediately after the talk, so finishing time much the same as
before.
Level floor throughout, so full wheelchair access and no steps from
the car park. 2 pound per person entry , to cover room hire, please
place in the collecting jar , near the entrance to the hall.
Corner of Priory Rd and Adelaide Rd, opposite the Junction Inn (strict
policy of no drinks to be brought over from the pub to the community
centre). This is a gastro-pub till 9pm , for anyone wishing to make
more of an evening. The hall is 200 metres from the Adelaide Rd side of
St Denys railway station. Previous use of this hall finishes at 20:00
with 15 minutes grace, so the start to the science cafe talks would be
sometime between 20:05 to 20:20. Thefore no point in arriving at the
centre before 20:00 , but the foyer would be open , should it be raining.
