>>>Natural Foods, Simple Living, Good People, Building Community<<<

I apologize for duplications from sending to multiple lists AND for the confusion caused by the change in both the date and location of Simply Living's "Last Wednesday" Movie night. We did not want to show the film on Halloween, which falls on the actual last Wednesday - Oct 31.  Our usual venue, The Earth Block house on the Ohio State Fairgrounds, was not available this month due to the Quarter Horse Congress.

We were fortunate to be able to book the Northwood and High Building at 2231 N. High St.  Please note that you can park for FREE in the lot behind the building in the evening. The usual signage that restricts parking does not apply for evening events held in the Community Room 100.

GrowthBusters: Hooked on Growth

is a documentary film that asks the most critical question of our time:

How do we become a sustainable civilization?

Ready for a paradigm shift? Don’t miss this film! One man (the filmmaker and political office challenger) takes on city hall, Wall Street, and The Pope as he questions society’s most fundamental beliefs about prosperity. The film takes a unique approach among modern environmental documentaries: Rather than dispensing facts about climate change; peak energy, food and water; and bio-diversity loss, it examines the cultural barriers that prevent us from acting rationally. It asks why population conversations are so difficult to have, and why a roaring economy is more important to us than a survivable planet. It explores our obsession with community growth and economic growth. GrowthBusters holds up a mirror, encouraging us to examine the beliefs and behaviors we must leave behind, and the values we need to embrace, in order that our children can survive and thrive. Free.  Bring a friend!
