Two Events this Weekend!

Hello SOLE Mates!
First, for FUN, you are invited to Simply Living's FUNdraiser this Friday (4-20) at the Crest Tavern, a fine local pub at Indianola and Crestview Rd in Clintonville. We call it the Fest at the Crest and it promises to be a terrific evening. Kick back at 5:30 pm when doors open for a delicious dinner PLUS three fine local bands starting at 7 pm - Avalon Nine, Mary Adam 12, and The Resisters! All this for only $10!! There will be a silent auction that will include a Business Day Sponsor Package from WCBE that offers a 20-second branding announcement produced and broadcast seven (7) times throughout the day of your choice, between May 1 and July 31, 2012. This is a $365 market value and the bidding will start at $100. Plus there will be lots of other items ranging from books and media to a yoga gift certificate, a picnic basket with 2 bottles of wine, small electronics, etc. The press release and flyer are attached - please pass this along to your friends and colleagues!
NOTE: Karen Ferris of Big Green Head has arranged for another E-Waste Drop Off truck to be at the Crest Tavern. Some of the proceeds from the collection will benefit Simply Living. Thanks, Karen! Last week the E-Waste Drop Off truck was at Easton Town Center, and some of the proceeds will benefit SOLE and Think Columbus First!
Second, Think Columbus First will be exhibiting and showing off our new brochure at the Earth Day celebration this Saturday (4-21) at the Columbus Commons downtown. Look for our booth in the Food Court along with Support Our Local Economy (SOLE) Coalition partners. And look for our specially marked, "Spend Me Local" $2 bills - buy one at our booth or you may get one in change from the beer vendors! Please stop by and get the latest information and consider spending an hour at the booth with us talking up the benefits of shopping, eating, banking, investing, and living local!
Mark your calendars... We will be exhibiting Saturday May 12 at the Midwest Fair Trade Fest and Saturday May 10 at Green on the Green! Volunteers are welcome. Call me at 354-6172 to schedule some booth time.
