A quick note to our SOLE group that we plan to table at the Independents' Day event downtown this Saturday. Thousands
will be crowding into Gay Street and Pearl Alley to celebrate
independent artists, musicians, and entrepreneurs from 12 noon to 12
midnight! Get all the details, including the schedule of performers online http://thisisindependent.com/
We will be setting up between 10 am and noon and plan to distribute more $2 bills stamped "Spend Me Local" along with our "Ten Reasons to Buy Local" handout. Every time we buy local, it benefits our community! Where to buy local? We'll be passing out free SBB Community cards and referring people to check out the 400+ independent business owners!
We need volunteers to help out at the booth for 1-2 hour shifts through about 6 pm. After that, everyone will want to eat dinner and party! If you didn't get a chance to do a shift at Comfest, here is another opportunity to help our cause and have a lot of fun in the process. Call me at 354-6172 or email chuck...@gmail.com to reserve the primo shifts that are now open and available!
