This is a second reminder about the film this evening: Economics of Happiness.  I am adding another list of people interested in the Support Our Local Economy (SOLE) Coalition. I encourage everyone, even if you have seen the film previously, to watch it again because of its relevance to the mission of Simply Living.  It is the best film I have seen that addresses the problems stemming from economic globalization and offers solutions from the economic and community localization movements. Unlike the first 5 films of this discussion group, there will be no charge for this final screening of the course. Please RSVP if you plan to attend so I can plan for the refreshments.  See you at 6:30 pm.

If you cannot attend tonight, Simply Living and SOLE are screening the film at Studio 35 on Sunday, Oct 19th at 2 pm.

This is a reminder to everyone who has signed up or shown interest in our monthly "Transition Film-Based Discussion Course." We will be screening Economics of Happiness  this first Thursday of the month (Oct 2) in Room 100 at the Northwood High Bldg, 2231 N. High St. Starts at 6:30 pm.  Snacks provided or bring some to share. Free parking in the rear in the "R" spaces. (Rardin Clinic)

More about the film: Economic globalization has led to a massive expansion in the scale and power of big business and banking. This award winning film documents that localization can offset many of the negative impacts of the global economy on communities and the environment. A very different future is emerging as the path toward a sustainable future. Discussion to follow. More info here.

This is the last meeting of the course!  I hope to see many of you there. Bring a friend.  No charge tonight.

If  you missed some of the films, consider checking them out online. Some titles are available to borrow from Simply Living's DVD collection.
