Hi Soldercore folks,
Can you give us an update on the release date for the raspberry pi version of corebasic that was mentioned in an earlier post? Also, the Libelium shield you mention, what is the purpose of that shield for the raspberry pi?
"Just to make it perfectly clear, CoreBASIC is a portable system. CoreBASIC and all its drivers also work on the Raspberry Pi using a Libelium shield. You can take your CoreBASIC program, written on a SolderCore, and put it on a Pi, and CoreBASIC looks just the same as the Pi. In fact, the Raspberry Pi, a 700 MHz ARM11 happens to run CoreBASIC programs only about twice as fast as the SolderCore for pure compute, and is a bit slower when doing I2C and SPI because of the Linux driver/kernel overhead..."
Thank You!
