Hi all,
we're FINALLY about to join the ranks of the solar-powered citizenry - at long last.
We had many hurdles to jump over to get our ground-mount system installed, but thankfully NECE folks are patient and perseverent and it all worked out.

We were advised to inform the insurance company about the system so that it's covered somehow - which I plan to do Monday, but if any of the other ground-mount folks out there have gone through this I'd appreciate hearing how it was handled by the insurance company.
I'm wondering whether they just added an additional annual charge or whether they consider it to be a separate piece of property (like a boat or vehicle, etc.) and require more significant changes to the policy (and higher fees), etc.

Thanks for any info,

Eric & Susie

Eric the numbers we hear are relatively low. FOr ground mounts they
are often covered however since you already have a barn the ancillary
structure coverage may no be sufficient.
