I contacted you last month about tvebiomovies 2012 and with your help we had a fantastic response. a staggering 430 people from 86 different countries entered some interesting and creative ideas. The 10 final films will be launched next month – don’t worry, you’ll be the first to know when they are ready to watch. Thank you again for your help!
While we wait for the films, I wanted to tell you about another new project: the tve YouTube Relay. Launched in July, with Bloomberg, to coincide with the opening ceremony of the Olympics, the relay is an online series which features a new film each week. Focusing on environmental topics, each film is made by a YouTube user in a different country. What makes it different? It’s the filmmakers that get to choose who we contact next. There are currently films available to watch including contributions from Malaysia, Nigeria, Peru and Australia. Topics include recycling, the importance of bees and genetically modified foods.
