Please help us reach our £100,000 target. Thank you. |
Hi hilary,
What a response. In less than 24 hours we smashed our target to raise £25,000 to protect the Arctic. And now we're approaching £50,000.
Donate to Save The Arctic and help us quadruple our target to a whopping £100,000.
The Arctic is the frontline of the dirty energy industry. It's also the boundary of our collective common sense. This year's Arctic ice melt – the biggest in recorded history – is a warning call about a warming planet. It is not a business opportunity for oil companies.
We know the Arctic is unique. There's no country to protect it, no army to patrol its borders and no board of shareholders to shield its assets. Only the worst kind of human greed looking to carve it up.
The Arctic is open to reckless exploitation unless we set it off-limits.
We can do it. But only if you're part of it.
By donating to the campaign, you’ll be helping create that all-important Arctic sanctuary through the United Nations. You'll also be funding investigations into the companies and politicians looking to profit from the ice collapse. And finally, you'll be supporting the activists who put their bodies on the line.
Lots of organisations take money from companies and governments to support their work. We don't. That's because we believe to challenge the power behind some of the biggest threats to this planet and peace we have to be fiercely independent. But that independence comes at a price: your help.
Please support our urgent appeal to Save The Arctic.
Thanks for believing in a better world,
Nic and all of us at Greenpeace
PS Remember we've done this before. The world park in Antarctica was won through people power. Donate and help save the Arctic today.
