Hello everybody!

Here is the link to Solar Fire campaign!

So now it is time to twitt, buzz, facebook, network... as much as you want in order to make this Solar Fire dream really happen!

Many thanks for supporting us!!!

This campaign is the first step of a running campaign - a road map will be online today.
If we can raise 7900 euros before the end of May, we can make the construction at Urs Riggenbach's place.
The rest is for post-production and creation of a dedicated foundation.

Best regards,

Eva Wissenz

I suggest changing the headline "Solar Fire Campaign - Step 1" to a benefit driven (to the target donor) headline and a short introductory paragraph right below the headline that describes the essence of what you want the donor to help you accomplish. Make the headline and TITLE the same. Make the headline a H1 rather than a H2.

When "http://www.solarfire.org/Open-Source-Campaign" is shared on Facebook, Facebook selects irrelevant content from the page. I suggest to reorganize the content such that Facebook and other social media websites select the TITLE or headline and the short introductory paragraph as mentioned above.

An example headline could be:

"Join us to sustainably raise the living standard of millions of people"

the Donate section would be better if it is immediately recognizable - colors, border, bigger text. I lost myself in the text for about 1 minute until I see the donate text (better like a button).

Hi,

We're done all the minor improvements we can see.

Please don't hesitate to suggest more.

The road map of the running campaign is online.

Yearh. The donation button should be above "the fold". The fold is the horizontal line on the page where the browser stops rendering the page content after the page is first loaded. I suggest moving the donation box up to the level of the headline. Many visitors don't even bother to scroll down a page to read the rest of the page. Bounce rates above 75% are common. Web visitors generally have attention span deficits ;-)

Hey Casper,

Thanks for all the good advice.

We've moved up the button a bit, so it should show on most screens I think. But if you think it's too low, we could still squeeze some pixels higher by resizing the Baobab image and decreasing the caption size. Thanks again, don't hesitate to point out more things!

The Donate button is still not visible without scrolling for me. I suggest reducing the size of the Baobab image and put the text that is now below on the right side of the image instead (eg. have two columns). Then have the right side donation box be top aligned with the left side information box.

Also, remove the new line after "energy." in the introductory paragraph so that "Help..." moves one line up.

Hey Casper,

There's been a big electric storm here so the power has been cut for awhile, so probably won't be able to perfect the button position until tomorrow.

But for Do you mean take out the line-break so "Help" is on the first line after the first sentence, or is there a extra line in your browser?

Hey Jamie,

Good to hear it works on your phone, please give us a shout if it breaks at some point.

Best to all
Eerik

I meant make it one paragraph instead of two. This should be the paragraph shared on social media websites.
