The Product Tooling Engineer will have a background in Solar with some
Semiconductor industry experience and a strong track record of success
in new product development introduction. This individual will be part
of a team that is delivering new, low cost wafer-based process and
tool solutions to the solar and semiconductor industries. A key
requirement is that candidates have the desire and experience to help
the team innovate and pioneer new solutions using rapid development
methodologies.
The primary function of this position is to drive new product and
process introductions as well as assisting with the sales effort,
customer support and marketing collateral. You will be instrumental in
growing new markets for both solar metallization tools and wafer-based
solutions along with growth for flip chip and wafer level packaging
metallization tools and solutions. Introducing and growing new solar
tools and products, supporting Semiconductor wafer level customer
programs, understanding and documenting customer requirements and
developing product specific marketing collateral are also
responsibilities of this position. Travel requirements include 20-40%
domestic and international travel. Ideal candidate will possess a
Bachelors or a Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical
Engineering with experience in the development of semiconductor
packaging, metallization, and interconnect process technology, wafer
processing, metrology, quality and reliability design interaction and
optimization. Individual should have sound organizational skills, and
be able to drive change in an individual contributor role especially
with rapid development programs and customer introduction.
Additional Qualifications:
5-10 years of product introduction, development and customer
engineering experience. Candidate must be willing to work in a fast
paced environment. Strong analytical skills and ability to determine
how a proposed information system will integrate with overall clean
room manufacturing processes in a multi-tasking environment are
important as well as Software development planning, testing, and
configuration. Understanding of MES and WIP tracking concepts with
strong hands-on skills with factory automation systems and equipment
data acquisitions and Experience developing and supporting
applications in a clean room manufacturing environment are also
important. Multiple languages: Korean, Chinese, or German a plus.
