Career change into renewable energy-Austin, TX

Hello,

My name is Jeff and I am looking for any advice on how to get started
in the
renewable energy field here in Austin, TX. For the last 15 years
since I
received my B.A. in communications, I have been in an unrelated field
but
have always had an interest in solar and wind power. If anyone has any
advice on where I can start or in what capacity I can contribute, please
contact my in this group. Any advice will be much appreciated.
