GREENVOLTS CORPORATION, San Francisco, CA Concentrated Photovoltaic
Solar Utility Startup developing CPV module, power unit, and complete
utility installation.

2007–January 2009: Director of Quality and Reliability developed the
test requirements and methods for achieving a long life time solar
product. Determine the optical transmission/reflectance changes for
over 50 materials after exposure to high intensity UVA/UVB, Xenon and
temperature/humidity to determine their suitability for outdoor solar
use. Designed, built, and implemented accelerated life test methods
for mirror coatings and optical materials for high intensity 20 year
cumulative exposure. Designed and setup accelerated UVA/UVB testing
for optical adhesive and optical materials. Worked extensively with
design and manufacturing teams to incorporate quality and reliability
in the early stages of the design by using FMEA, Design Qualification
Testing and Stress Derating for critical components and key
subassemblies, MTBF/MTTF testing and Qualification of Manufacturers.
Developed detailed qualification and reliability test plans which
included determining acceleration factors to extrapolate to 20 year
life time.

MICRODISPLAY CORPORATION, Fremont, CA Microdisplay Corporation a
startup that designs, develops, and manufacturers state of the art
high-definition LCOS panels and RPTV.

2004-2007: Vice President of Quality & Reliability & Test &
Manufacturing Engineering, Managed all aspects of test, outsourced
manufacturing engineering, quality and reliability for MDC products
both LCOS panel, engine and RPTV.
- Improved yields from low teens to over 60% for the panel. Improved
panel quality that for panels installed in RPTV's only 4 out of 10,000
panels where returned.
- Developed outsourced manufacturing for RPTV optical engine, main
board & ps.

device).

1995-1998: Sr VP Engineering and General Manager: Light Valve
Projection Products Division, Mountain View, CA. Responsible for the
entire 40 man division including liquid crystal light valve (50 layer
thin/thick film) component engineering and manufacturing.

- Upon arriving the production line had zero yields and I re-
established production
- Designed and implemented into production four new high brightness
projectors.

GM Hughes Electronics Corporation, Industrial Products Division,
Carlsbad, CA.

1993-1995 VP of Operations/Co-President and General Manager, Hughes
JVC Technology Corporation, Managed 70-employee light valve
engineering and production organization. Increased light valve
production rate from 0 to 450 units per month and increased cumulative
yield from 0 to 44% in eighteen months.

1988-1993 Product Line Manager, Industrial Products Division, Managed
CO2 Laser Product Line and CdS Light Valve Product Line (1990 on) Set-
up, staffed, and managed major development and production program for
delivering CO2 laser transmitter (29.6% profit for $39M in sales) for
the AF Air Launched Cruise Missile with no field failures.
Restructured 50 layer thin/thick film light valve production
increasing cumulative yield from 0% to 50% in eighteen months.
