Senior Module Test Engineer:

You’ll be a key part of a dynamic team in a Boston, Massachusetts
based start-up company. You will join a team that shares an
uncompromising pursuit of engineering excellence with a pragmatic
commitment to sustainable energy technology development.

The Senior PV Module Engineer will:

• Operate, maintain and improve module characterization equipment for
R&D applications.

• Build and assemble mechanical and electronic devices relating to
solar modules and characterization.

• Design and monitor laboratory experiments on modules and communicate
results using verbal and written means. Design new PV modules.

• Assist in selecting and developing appropriate projects for its
solar module lab.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:

Knowledge of polymers, their degradation and characterization would
be satisfactory. Additional knowledge of materials used in modules
and how they relate to performance, cost and manufacturability is a
bonus.

• Strong material background working on materials such as: (glass,
polymers, EVA, tedlar backsheets and edge sealants.

• Track record in R&D environment. Developing and testing concepts
and selecting ideas for further development.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated
mentorship capability.

• Ability to accept a high degree of responsibility in a team-based
organization, combined with ability to work independently.

• Working to ensure that the laboratory remains a positive, creative,
and safe working environment at all times.

• Desired, but not essential: Experience testing modules under
standard conditions. Familiarity with common module failure modes and
accelerated aging tests.

• You will enjoy a comprehensive compensation package that includes
