Job Description:

Qualified candidates must have a background in the solar or
semiconductor industry with a strong track record of past success in
new development areas and product introduction. This individual will
be part of a team that is delivering new low cost wafer based process
and tool solutions to the clean technology industry. This candidate
will develop improved metal plating and coating solutions for solar
cells and solar panels. They need to have a good working background in
both development of new processes and high volume manufacturing.
Develop advanced electro-deposition processes for both the solar cell
and module packaging interconnect. Develop the best tool
implementation working with the Tool/Software product manager. Process
engineer will support customer solar manufacturing operations focusing
on implementing lower cost metal systems, improved masking operations,
yield improvement, cycle time reduction, material and process time/
cost reduction.

This position assists the total company in review and development of
processes utilizing the latest proven engineering practices for rapid
product development and reliable process introduction.

A key requirement to have the desire and experience to help the team
innovate and pioneer new solutions using rapid development
methodologies with proven track record

- Prior small company and start-up experience

- Semiconductor packaging experience

- Successful product introduction experience

Additionally, the position will include the management of internal
process development and co-development of technical programs,
outsourced manufacturing support and supplier development teams. This
key team member will help define and concurrently manage multiple
product programs through successful introduction, as well as driving
and coordinating the necessary resources.
Will also be responsible for:
- Introducing and growing new Solar processes and materials

- Supporting Semiconductor customer cost reduction process development
and roll-out

- Understanding and documenting customer requirements

- Developing product specific marketing collateral

- 20-40% domestic and international travel Requirements

This position requires a Bachelors or Masters Degree in engineering
with Mechanical Engineering preferred and a minimum of 5 years of
process engineering experience in semiconductor industry, including 2
years in wafer level scale packaging. They must have proven experience
in the development of semiconductor plating technology, metallization
and interconnect process technology, wafer processing, metrology,
quality and reliability design interaction and optimization. They
should have proficiency with the prior plating tools and be able to
adapt tool technology to the needs of the solar/clean technology
market. Knowledge of metallization systems is essential as well as
hands on prior development experience and success. Individual should
have sound organization skills and ability to drive change in an
individual contributor role especially with rapid development programs
and customer introduction. Candidate must have excellent problem
solving skills, good leadership skills, and strong knowledge of
semiconductor process development techniques and methods.
Additional Qualifications: 5-10 years of product introduction,
development and customer engineering experience in semiconductor
packaging environment. Proven experience working and leading in a fast
paced development role Strong analytical skills and ability to
determine how a proposed information system will integrate with
overall manufacturing processes. Must have small company and multi-
company experience directly related to the job requirements (startup
experience preferred) Proven ability to work with small teams in a
multi-tasking environment. Develop new processes: create state of the
art electro-deposition processes and metal compositions. Develop
appropriate masking or layering process technology

- Perform metrology and analysis: material structure, chemical
composition, mechanical characteristics (strain, stress, thermal,
electrical) Implement cost reduced process flows with reliability
validation

- Work with material suppliers to ensure development and supply of
advance chemistries

- Qualify new metal systems and structures for high volume
manufacturing Capture and file new IP and patents.

Experience developing applications in a high volume manufacturing
environment No tooling support functions Candidate must have been
