Hi,

Regarding your idea of boucing multi-part mail. Great idea, but those of
us who are stuck with strange 3rd party mailers (like this one -
Lotus Notes) are screwed. I'd rather use pine, but I don't have
permissions to use the Sun box here for mail let alone porting pine
:-).

Apologies is this mail is screwed by the way, the server went down the
other day and it's still pretty broken.

I disagree about PGP signatures. They are a nice way to certify that the message
is really from
the person it claims to be. I encourage people to use it.

Not quite, at least not on a mailing list. You keep verifying
signatures for keys you don't usually have, so it is just a waste of
time.

On personal mailings, yes, I would encourage the use of digital sigs.

But on a mailing list, who cares? It's also discouraged in the list
charter.
