Accton EN1660 NIC - IRQ conflict problem

I have installed OpenBSD 2.6 on my HP Vectra initially with a single NIC,
3Com 905 TX. It worked fine and I subsequently added a second NIC,
Accton EN1660 (spec says it's compatible with NE2000).
During the boot process, it detected the new NIC as ne1 but complained
that IRQ 10 already in use. And so, the card was not operational
(ie. ifconfig doesn't show it).
But, when I rebooted the PC using the install diskette (floppy26.fs)
it appeared to pick up the card (see 2nd dmesg output below) and
I proceeded to install /bsd again. The same problem occurs again when
I rebooted from the hard disk.
I shall be most grateful for any advice/pointer.

The "pnp" system has all sorts of ugly warts to it. Mixing pci and isa
devices in a machine can be a real pain. A lot of devices are for some
reason much nicer to Microsoft systems than others. I had a similar propblem
with a noname pci ne2000 clone which refused to work until an sb soundcard
jumpered to use irq 11 (which also happened to be the first irq specified
for pci devices) was removed.
From your listing it looks like the 3com card grabs irq 10 first.
You could use the 3com config software to have it grab some other free
irq, or you could look at the PCI/pnp related BIOS settings and check
for the preferred order of irqs and io addresses (this is probably what
the accton card uses).
