Hi all,

I have an AlphaServer 400 4/233 with an ZLXp-E1 Graphics board in it, and
now I wanted to let X run on it. So I wanted to link /usr/X11R6/bin/X to
/usr/X11R6/bin/XalphaNetBSD, but I have no /usr/X11R6/bin/X
I have installed the snapshot from 27.05.2000, and:

[frederik@server sets]$ cat *.tgz | tar --list -zpf - | grep "bin/X"
[frederik@server sets]$ pwd
/mnt/alpha/binary/sets
[frederik@server sets]$

The file is not even in one of the .tgz Sets.
Is this a seperate package?
My graphics card seems to be supported:

[frederik@fred64 frederik]$ dmesg | grep tga
tga0 at pci0 dev 12 function 0: DC21030 step C, board type T8-02
tga0: 1024 x 768, 8bpp, Bt485 RAMDAC
tga0: interrupting at isa irq 5
wsdisplay0 at tga0: console (std, vt100 emulation)
[frederik@fred64 frederik]$

Many Thanks in advance,
--
Best Regards,
Freddy

I had a look at the sets and it seems to be there. It should
be in the tar file xserver.tgz.

Quick note: If you want to run X at a different resolution on the
TGA boards there is a set of jumpers/dip switches/wheel which sets
the graphics mode and the SRM console initialises the card into
that mode at boot.

You're right. Why hasn't my grep showed up this?
