: Who has got the largest about of:
: duke-titles?
: marquess-titles?
: count-titles?
: viscount-titles?
: baron-titles?
: other titles?
Don't know, but here's a British list of some of the most titled.
[reposted,I wrote it last year]
Correcting a suggestion by Stan Brown that getting a title of
every lower degree in the peerage is a norm for higher creations
has prompted me to compile a title inventory,in order of precedence:

Awarding 5 points per Dukedom,4 per Marquessate,etc,the most title-loaded
peer is the Duke of Buccleuch & Queensberry,32 points.
(by my reckoning, with multibarrelled titles and writs of novodamus some
may reckon differently)
The only Dukes with marquessates of a different name for their sons'
courtesy titles, earldoms of a still different name for their grandsons'
courtesy titles, and lower titles of a different name yet for their
great-grandsons are those of Devonshire,Marlborough,Hamilton & Brandon,
Buccleuch & Queensberry(not used,though,the established courtesy titles
skip two grades),Argyll,Atholl,Montrose,Roxburghe,and Sutherland...so
the chances are excellent for Scots and minimal for others.
They're Spanish, persently headed by a duchess...I THINK the number is
between 50 and 100.

-What do you mean by points?
>I think the Dukes of Alba?
As a means of keeping score, weighting the titles by rank.
My copy of the "Elenco de Grandezas y Titulos Nobiliarios Espanoles"
(1980) lists the Duquesa de Alba with 42 titles (6 duke; 1 count-duke;
14 marquess; 20 count; 1 viscount). However, she has ceded several of
these to her children. In addition, the title of "Duquesa de Berwick"
which was recognised for her in 1955 is in fact an English title
(attainted by the Orange) only inheritable in the male line (the actual
heir is the Duque de Penaranda de Duero).
According to my count the Duquesa de Medinaceli had 38 titles in 1980
(she had already ceded a number of titles to her children). If you
subtract the titles ceded by the Duquesa de Alba between 1980 and the
present, it may be that the Duquesa de Medinaceli has more now.
