Not sure where you got this term.The 5 ranks of the peerage are
Duke,Marquess,Earl,Viscount,Baron.

: Royalty
: Nobility
: Knight
: Gentry
: Common

The table of precedence doesn't fuss about the last two,and divides the
upper three quite minutely.
