there was a play i saw in Mill Mtn theater B. The Norfolk and Southern
Theater Festival
they have every January. The man is Jeff Stanley who grew up in Roanoke,
moved to NY, wrote a play about going to Serbia to go to the museum of Tesla
to investigate the sci fi part of the guy, ended up learning about the
serbocroat war.
He went to Byrd and was SIMON'S best friend!
a couple years ago when I had two cars, and Simon totalled his, I lent them
my white car to go to Nashville so Jeff could pick up a playwriting award.
Simon took me to the play as payback for believing in them, (would you lend
Simon a car for a week to go drinking and partying in Nashville???)
and I got to see the play and they had a chat with Jeff and the actors.
Nice intimate and fascinating.
I do have to say it was awesome. It hits you
in just the right place.
a kind of
message you would dig.
