My paternal grandparents

My paternal grandparents ere from Chernivtsi. My grandfather, Abraham Volkov, was born in Khotin to Khaim and Enia. My grandmother, Ita/Ida/Anita, was  born in Sekuryani to Leib Chapoval and Chaika Rubinsky. They both immigrated to Recife, Brazil: my grandfather probably immigrated just before the WWI and my grandmother immigrated in 1920.

Hi Anita, interestingly, my mom said there was a Wolkoff family living in front of them, same floor. We are talking about Recife, Brazil, around the 60s.

Benny (Biniamin) Wolkoff married to perhaps an Ester. 2 children.

I look in my Family tree, among more then 150.000 names (30 to 40.000 families names), and I didn’t found any of this families? Volkov and Chapoval. But I found 13 names from Rubinsky, no one with the name Chaika. I have one name only the family name Rubinsky, that was married with Riva Elisabetsky, and them 7 names of Men and 6 names from Women…

 

If you write all the names that the family name is Rubinsky, perhaps we can see if is one that is relative to Chaika (Rubinsky).Please sent me, if you prefer, direct to my e-mail (Fkuperman arroba()yahoo.com.br)

My maternal great grandparents are rubinsky from Secureni/Briceni area. 
Great grandfather - Haim Baruch Rubinsky

GGM - Malka Rubinsky (Shein)
Unfortunately i don't have info about siblings of Haim Baruch

Minha avó nasceu lá e imigrou para Recife em 1920. Meu avô chegou antes, mas ele era de Khotin.  Khotin e Sekuriany são cidades da mesma região: Chernivitsi, hoje na Ucrânia.

This is so interesting because the spelling is very similar to my last name which I can’t seem to find on any of the records. My father was born in Khotin in 1927 and our last name is Vitcov (so similar). There are very few because in the world but we found one in Brazil. 

My grandmother was Luba Kononovitch (sp?) one of eight sisters and my grandfather was Shlomo (Sam) Vitcov. I don’t know who his parents are as we were told he was orphaned, but I feel like that could be because of some rift.

Guilherme Chapoval era irmão de minha avó Anita. O verdadeiro nome dele era Wolko ou volko, ou algo assim. Meus avós eram Anita/ Ita/Ida e Adolfo/Abraham.

Meu pai era Benny. Os pais de meus avô Adolfo eram Chaim e Enia, daí os nomes de meus tios, em homenagem a eles.

Tentei achar o nome do navio, a data, o ano que ele chegou no Brasil, com quem ele chegou. Você tem acesso a esse topo de documentos tb?
