Therefore, you should check the sun.exe process on your PC to see if it is a threat. We recommend Security Task Manager for verifying your computer's security. This was one of the Top Download Picks of The Washington Post and PC World.
A clean and tidy computer is the key requirement for avoiding problems with sun. This means running a scan for malware, cleaning your hard drive using 1cleanmgr and 2sfc /scannow, 3uninstalling programs that you no longer need, checking for Autostart programs (using 4msconfig) and enabling Windows' 5Automatic Update. Always remember to perform periodic backups, or at least to set restore points.
Should you experience an actual problem, try to recall the last thing you did, or the last thing you installed before the problem appeared for the first time. Use the 6resmon command to identify the processes that are causing your problem. Even for serious problems, rather than reinstalling Windows, you are better off repairing of your installation or, for Windows 8 and later versions, executing the 7DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth command. This allows you to repair the operating system without losing data.
To help you analyze the sun.exe process on your computer, the following programs have proven to be helpful: ASecurity Task Manager displays all running Windows tasks, including embedded hidden processes, such as keyboard and browser monitoring or Autostart entries. A unique security risk rating indicates the likelihood of the process being potential spyware, malware or a Trojan. BMalwarebytes Anti-Malware detects and removes sleeping spyware, adware, Trojans, keyloggers, malware and trackers from your hard drive.
Command & Conquer 1, Red Alert 1 and Tiberian Sun have all been upgraded with community-created unofficial patches that fix a lot of their bugs and compatibility problems. For Red Alert 2 there's a more general patch that solves a lot of its graphics problems. You can find them here:
What first line? He just said "the game", and that's not the person who made the original topic. You assume he's talking about TS just because he posted in a TS thread. I've learned that that's a dangerous assumption. People post irrelevant stuff anywhere if they think someone will read it
Unless you are referring to something we are not seeing, he specifically says "Tiberium Sun." I too purchased the same collection of Command and Conquer that he is referring to, and so far all the games I have tried are working except for Tiberium Sun. The game will boot up, but if I select any option in the main menu the game just freezes. Oddly enough, I had a similar problem when I bought a similar collection about 10 years ago when my PC at the time ran Vista. Every game worked except for Renegade and the expansion to Tiberium Sun, and even in the main game I was unable to save- but that aside. Sorry if you are referring to something else, but the man seems to have very clearly stated his issues are with "Tiberium Sun" specifically.
Again, the person I replied to there is not the person who made this thread. mstrtb mentioned Tiberian Sun, and I answered him by giving a list of patches. KenBlock43Ro did no such thing, and none of the things he said were relevant to this thread, so I answered him by saying exactly that.
As for your problem, the inability to save usually means the game is installed in a location where it's not allowed to write, like inside the Program Files folder. The sanest solution is to change your Origin settings to put the folder in which your Origin games will be installed to a different location, so problems like that no longer occur with older games. Alternately, you can edit the properties of the sun.exe file in the TS game folder to make sure it always runs in Administrator mode.
It was a normal day. Dyenol and .EXE were chatting about life. "So, hear me out bro" Dyenol started, but .EXE cut him off. "Don't you start with that. Last time you said those words, I got ran over by a fucking bulldozer." "That was the past, anyways just listen up, " Dyenol responded, and .EXE agreed, a little mad. "Ok, you see that bench over there?" "yea, so?" .EXE responded. "Well," dyenol went on, "What if we were to give it a consciousness? It wouldn't have organs, but it would feel pain, and all it could do was scream?" .EXE's ears pricked up. "Let me ask you this Dyenol, are you actually insane?" "You, could say that." Dyenol responded.
As they said that, they were transported to a white void. .EXE sighed, "this is why i don't listen to you when you start a sentence like that." Dyenol looked around, and he looked down at his hands. "What the... why am I transparent???" .EXE looked at him, then he looked at himself. "Oh, yea ok." A large booming voice shook the land. "WHO DARE DISTURBS ME?" Dyenol looked around, and looked into the sky. It was here where he saw the, Sun???
"Im sorry, who the actual fuck are you?" Dyenol asked the sun. "I AM SUN.EXE, AND I AM YOUR GOD!" Dyenol just, stared at him, the coldest expression on his face. Sun.exe frowned, "WHAT? YOUR SUPPOSED TO BE SCARED OF ME!" Dyenol just stared at him, his face cracking. .EXE politely walked over to Sun.exe, pulled out a comedically large boxing glove, and destroyed sun.exe. "Y'Know, that guy was a real strain on the eyes," .EXE snarkly said. "what?" Dyenol replied, confused. "Like, hes the sun. And like, er, bright things hurt to look at," .EXE informed Dyenol. Dyenol still looked at .EXE dumbfounded, his face repairing. "Oh forget about it, you wouldn't understand anyways." .EXE replied, and they went to get a snack.
