Young Professionals for Agricultural Development - YPARD Pakistan, ECO Science Foundation - ECOSF, and Pakistan Agricultural Research Council – PARC, with our other co-organizing partners (Soil4Climate USA, WhyFarm Caribbean, Agriculture University Peshawar, Sindh Agriculture University TandoJam), is Jointly organizing an online event - webinar on World Soil Day (#SoilBiodiversity), highlighting the key role played by soil biodiversity in the functioning of the Earth’s ecosystems.
YPARD #WSD2020 Resolution:
Mobilizing new resources and partnerships to ensure adequate investments and territorially based solutions for Soil Conservation and restoration. The purpose of this year's event is to discuss that partnerships between Agricultural Stakeholders (As) and Youth Institutions - YPs (Young Professionals), can play a vital role in restoring soil health for sustaining life on this planet.
Event Objectives (PFC):

Engagement of agricultural stakeholders and young experts (YPs) as key partners to assess the regional vulnerability of arable land to soil erosion and restoration measures in farmland.
2. #FoodSecurity
Soil biodiversity a nature-based solution – for sustainable agriculture production, human-health, and food security.
3. #ClimateChangeSDG13
Soil destructing activities are not climate-neutral. #SoilBiodiversity, as a major source of positive impact on global climate change, environmental protection, adaptation, and agricultural vulnerability.
