{The Soil Spectroscopy Group} First announcement: 2nd Global Workshop on Proximal Soil Sensing - Montreal 2011

Dear all:
Thank you for all your replies indicating your intention to participate in the Second Global Workshop on Proximal Soil Sensing in 2011.
All replies were positive and all agreed that Montreal in May would be perfect!
Our organisation can now really get underway!
We have booked a hall at McGill University in the centre of (downtown) Montreal as the workshop venue.
In terms of the date, we are scheduling the workshop for May 15-18, 2011. Reason is that the Canadian Victoria Day holiday is on May 23, and later would leave a relatively short time till the European Conference on Precision Agriculture.
Please see attached draft first announcement. Feel free to distribute this to colleagues that may not be on this list.
We are currently working on our website (www.proximalsoilsensing.org) and details will be uploaded there in due course.
We plan to use the Sydney 2008 workshop as the 'template' for this one. If you have any suggestions for what you would like to see in the Montreal workshop please let us know. We are open to your suggestions!
