We hope you are doing well! We have a few network updates and opportunities:
1. If you or your laboratory already performs heavy metal determinations in soils or fertilizers, we kindly ask you to share the information with the network by filling out the Excel template no later than May 30th. The template is also available here for download.
2. All INSOP, INFA and GLOSOLAN (Global Soil Laboratory Network) members are welcome to participate in the joint working session to be held on Thursday, June 1st at 13:00 CET. The overall goal of the session is to exchange knowledge on the specific methodologies for the determination of total and available cadmium content in soils and fertilizers, explain the harmonization process and define the governance of the joint working group. More details on the agenda are available here.

3. We invite all labs which are working also on fertilizer analysis to register to the International Network on Fertilizer Analysis (INFA):

4. Two new SOPs have been published: quasi total elements in soil by acid digestion, including heavy metals and soil moisture content by gravimetric method.
5. GLOSOLAN is scheduling a new series of webinars, in case you would like to request any topic which to include, please let Filippo....@fao.org or Magdeline...@fao.org know by the end of May.
