Dear Soil Hero,
To expand your knowledge of regenerative agriculture science and healthy soil legislation, Soil4Climate is honored to bring you webinars with two extraordinary voices in the fields, Jonathan Lundgren, Ph.D., Founder and Director, Ecdysis Foundation, and Aria McLauchlan, Co-founder & Executive Director, Land Core.
Take our word, you'll want to attend both of these. -
Founder of Ecdysis Foundation, Lundgren is perhaps best known for his 1000 Farms Initiative, an ambitious, large-scale agricultural research effort launched in 2022. According to its website, “Ecdysis deploys teams to farms across North America to measure everything from biodiversity, soil carbon, and food nutrient content to the economic and sociological effects of various styles of land management.”
-
In her role at Land Core, Aria McLauchlan has shepherded the organization’s rise to the center of the national soil health conversation, including guiding the successful passage of language in both the House and Senate in 2019, supporting soil health at USDA, and building a broad coalition of farmers, businesses, and NGOs to help secure over $50M in federal investment in soil health in the 2018 Farm Bill. Land Core's Bill Tracker highlights bills introduced into U.S. Congress that could have a significant impact on soil health and resilience.

The above webinars are offered as part of Soil4Climate's ten year anniversary celebrations. We took our first steps as an organization on June 15th, 2015. Since then, we have been elevating the science, policy, and practices of soil restoration as a climate, food security, and social welfare solution.
Our flagship projects are in East Africa where we are supporting superheroes in regenerative agriculture, implementing practices such as permaculture and Holistic Planned Grazing. Your contributions keep these programs alive and even small donations have a large impact. Also, a donation of $100 or more entitles you to a free Soil4Climate hat (made of organic cotton and hemp).
https://soil4climate.networkforgood.com/ As a reminder, Soil4Climate is one of the foremost organizations of its kind in the world.
In addition to elevating voices, we are also creating change on the ground and in the hallways of higher learning. Examples of our commitment to these causes include enabling regenerative grazing and cropping in East Africa, as mentioned above, and publishing a compendium of peer-reviewed scientific papers on the soil and climate benefits of well-managed grazing.
To restore billions of acres of degraded land worldwide and to remove excess carbon from the atmosphere sufficient to mitigate global warming, regenerative agriculture must be widely adopted.
Thank you in advance for your engagement and support.
With love for soil, food security, and climate resilience, |

| Regenerative Grazing, Kajiado, Kenya
The Maasai Lands Restoration Project implements resilient grazing practices on Maasai lands in the Kajiado District of Kenya to help families restore soil and improve nutrition. This effort is managed by Dalmas Tiampati, who, with funding from Soil4Climate, received training in Holistic Management from the Mara Training Center, a Savory Institute Hub located in Kenya.

|
|
| Permaculture, Siaya, Kenya
Mabinju Power House Youth Group provides agroforestry training and services for up to 50 families in the Siaya District of Kenya. Soil4Climate donations have enabled the purchase of gardening supplies, seedlings, and a dairy cow which is producing four liters of milk per day. This effort is managed by Geoffrey Ouma.

|
| Regenerative Grazing & Relief, Emboreet, Tanzania
Enkop Naboo Organization - Soil4Climate provided emergency food relief to herders in the Tanzanian village of Emboreet, who lost many animals to starvation during the recent drought in East Africa. Post drought, Soil4Climate donations helped with the purchase of cows and sheep. Training in Holistic Management will follow. This project is managed by N’ding’a Ndikon Orkeyaroi.

👉 A donation of $25 makes possible the purchase of much-needed supplies, such as watering cans and potting bags, to enable community permaculture (e.g., $5 buys a 10-liter watering can).
👉 A donation of $300 buys a cow that can be integrated into a holistically managed herd (a mom cow can produce 2.5 to 5 liters of milk per day, helping to nourish up to 10 families).
👉 A donation of $500 leases 500 acres of grazable land for a month (this cost is far below market rates, and this offer is available only to like-minded community members).
👉 A donation of $3,000 purchases a small herd of cows that will be named in your honor. This herd will be integrated into a regenerative grazing regimen.
👉 For donations of $100 or more, US residents will receive a free Soil4Climate hat as a token of our appreciation. Donors in other countries will receive a free Soil4Climate hat with a gift of $125 or more. |
