Hello all,
There has been a lot of state legislation this year involving or mentioning healthy soils. It is taking a bit of time to go through the bills for a full status update. In the meantime, the following may be of interest:
Ohio:
HB568 [LS] Create the Healthy Soils Task Force – introduced 5/15/2024, referred to Agriculture committee 5/21/2024
Wisconsin:
AJR144/ SJR135 [LS/LS] State Constitution amendment: “The people, including future generations, have the right to a clean, safe, and healthy natural environment, including pure water, clean air, healthy soils, self-sustaining ecosystems, and a safe and stable climate, and to the preservation of the natural, cultural, scenic, and healthful qualities of the environment.” – failed to adopt in Senate
