Hi Everyone,

I apologize for the delay but the channel is now launched! Throughout the day and tomorrow there will be 5 videos and 5 shorts published on the channel. In the coming days there will be a few more videos uploaded.
If your project has submitted video footage, please be patient and your footage will be published before the end of the year.

For those of you, who haven't had the pleasure of launching a channel, it is fantastic technology and a lot of fun. I encourage all farms to create a channel and I'm here to share my experience and will work with you to launch your own farm channel.
The idea, concept, philosophy is that of a fractal. The more farms that join the Soil Builders Network with either their own channel or by sharing video footage, the quicker we'll achieve monetization and the quicker money can be allocated to projects.

PREPARE TO BE UNDERWHELMED... as with all new ventures there is a learning curve and we are 'competing' with a lot of very seasoned content creators, which we will reach out to. However, one thing that we have, which they do not, is you, the farmers. Millions (perhaps billions) of people around the world understand that the solutions to society's myriad issues won't be found in board rooms or politics but can only be found, literally on the ground and in the ground. The solutions are to be found at the community level, with farmers enacting regenerative farming practices, like vermicomposting a million times over, on millions of farms in millions of communities.  Also, I need your feedback, especially regarding functionality. Basically, is the channel working properly?

To view and subscribe to the channel please go to http://www.youtube.com/@SoilBuildersNetwork-o5z

In the new year, I will be reaching out to various groups to build the SBN.
In the new year, we will have a few priorities:
  • monetizing the channel by increasing engagement and uploading more content
  • creation of the SBN website, which will showcase donations and projects. There are a few, specifically with MOOF Organic Farmers Co-op Kenya to do with vermicomposting, mushroom cultivation and water projects.
  • networking with new farms and communities
  • starting Amazon and e-commerce affiliate programs to drive commission revenue from organic brands to SBN
CONTENT, CONTENT, CONTENT... we need more content. So please don't be shy and send us what you have. In the new year I will be sending out some simple guidelines about creating raw footage for editing.
It is also my pleasure to introduce to you Manpreet Kaur out of the U.A.E. Manpreet is SBN's content editor and it has been a pleasure working with her thus far. If you have any questions about content editing, please direct them to me and I will address the questions with Manpreet.

And lastly... sometimes life doesn't work out how you thought it would. To make a long story short, back in May of 2021, I sold Farmer Direct Organic (www.farmerdirectorganic.com) to Above Food and now I'm in negotiations to buy it back.
Unfortunately, Above Food couldn't support the growth of the brand and therefore I asked for it back as the demand is significant. Consumers, especially long-time organic consumers want food that is Organic or Regenerative Organic Certified, tested for pesticides and
traceable back to the organic family farm that grew it. The wonderful thing about this is that control of this concept is back where it started, with farmers that I have long term relationships with (2 decades of buying their grain) and myself.

If y'all have any questions or comments, please feel free to reach out.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a fantastic holiday.
Jason
