         Need Junior SQL DBA Consultant 

Rate : 25$/hr C2C

Job Title: SQL DBA
Location: Nashville, TN
Duration: 6 Months Contract

(The client will allow this individual to come work on site for 1 Month, then work from home for the rest of the length of the Contract)

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Position will perform duties associated with managing, deploying and migrating databases across Development, QA and Production environments. This includes proactive database management activities required to provide the agreed upon service level objectives to the user community. Performs database migrations and upgrades, software installation, software maintenance and debugging, and in-house consulting/project management support required by Information Technology

Operations:
REPORTING ACCOUNTABILITY
Reports directly to the Database Operations Manager

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Extensive experience in SQL Server installation and administration on SQL 2000, 2005 and 2008.
Experience with Transactional and Snapshot Replication as well as log shipping
Experience with Veritas Storage Foundation and Veritas Clustering
Candidate must be proficient in SQL Server 2005 T-SQL. Including, but not limited to, stored procedures, triggers, functions, indexes and ACID properties.
Thorough understanding of optimization, performance tuning, SQL profiler, perfmon.
Solid understanding of SQL Server security administration
Experience and understanding of DTS/SSIS packages.
Knowledge of server hardware and Windows Server
PostgreSQL, MySQL and PowerShell skills a plus
SSAS, SSRS and SAN skills a plus
Must be detailed oriented and have excellent written and verbal communication skills
