Job Title: Java Portal Developer
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Duration: 10+ Months Contract
                                                                                 
Brief Description Of Assignment:
The candidate will be investigating application issues, determining technical solutions, and will be making enhancements to existing applications.  To do this, the candidate should be able to troubleshoot, debug and solve technology integration and performance problems.

The candidate shall be a good team player, and be able to communicate with customers to work on functional and technical requirements. Preference will be given to experience in the following areas
Manufacturing Functional Domain
Application Integration
Intranet/Internet Sites
Web and Application Security
Performance
Quality
Operational Aspects

Years of Work Experience:
The candidate will have skills and at least 2 years experience on IBM Websphere
Portal.
The candidate must possess a minimum 6+ years of overall JAVA/Web technology
related IT experience.

Personal Skills Required:
Excellent communication ability
Ability to independently research and solve technical issues
Ability to meet targeted deadlines with minimal supervision
Ability to follow and support USS standards for design, development, implementation and documentation.

Technical Skills Required:
Sound knowledge in J2EE
IBM WebSphere Portal development work (Prefer 6.x or higher); includes Administration, LDAP, Domino, RDBMS, Web/HTTP
Good understanding of the J2EE design patterns
Have sound experience with most of:  JSP, JSF, Spring, Hibernate, Servlets, JDBC, JMS, JAXB, JDOM, AJAX, XML; XSLT and Web Services technology
Be self starter in developing new technical skills; be able to demonstrate strong technical growth
Be proficient in the use of software development tools (IBM Rational Application Developer, Clear Case, Clear Quest) and techniques in software projects
Communicate effectively with clients, with team members and with management as needed
Be at a level of having in-depth knowledge of listed skills, be able to perform independently and give direction to others.

Additional Skills/Qualities not required but would be a plus:
Lotus Web Content Management (WCM) skills
Exposure to Portal API and Portlet API
