can taking a metaphor to far help?

We use metaphors to help us understand a situation.

I recorded a video to think about a self-organising team

I personally think that this metaphor, is going to far.

yet, that is why I am interested.

What could we learn from the idea of a self-organizing passengers about self-organizing team?
