Senior Software Quality Assurance Specialist

* B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related technical discipline or equivalent

* 6+ years of relevant experience

* Possess a complete understanding of quality practices in a large-program environment

* Comprehensive understanding of CMM/CMMI, Software Quality Assurance (SQA), and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)/Systems Engineering Life Cycle (SELC)

* Candidates must have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

* Strong organizational skills, including the ability to integrate information from multiple sources

* Ability to work comfortably in a high-energy, multi-vendor environment

* Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment

* Familiarity with QA tracking software

* Facilitate audits of software development quality processes against established process criteria

* Conduct peer reviews of project work product

* Adhere to quality assurance processes in a CMMI Level 3 program

* Conduct document planning and re-planning activities

* Create and update document deliverable records

* Verify that deliverables/work products fulfill contractual requirements and meet appropriate quality standards

* Respond in a timely and appropriate manner to support requests

* Notify supervisors/escalate issues when problems or issues arise that are outside of normal scope

* Participate in gate reviews and client meetings, as needed
