Sr SW Quality Engineer
· Develop system test, automation test schemes and automation code using C/C++, Python & Java · Understand storage related products and complex interconnected systems. · Design and create test plans. · In cooperation with Development Engineering, writes functional detailed design specs and system level test plans, as well as responding to requirement documents. · Influence and drive positive change in the testing process through the development of strong partnerships with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams. · Effectively communicate development and testing activities and findings in oral and written formats · Collaborate well with other engineers and other engineering groups, voluntarily share information. · Participate effectively in estimation, planning and quality risk analysis. · Participate in project-wide reviews of requirements, system architecture, and detailed design documents. · Configuring, debugging and analyzing issues related to hosts, switches (Fibrechannel, Ethernet) and storage devices. SKILLS: · Knowledge of storage and storage related technologies including SAN and storage management, IP networks, etc. · Strong experience with multiple common computer platforms (AIX, HP/UX, Linux, Solaris, Windows, VMWare)
· Ability to work independently and as a collaborative member of a team · Ability to work across functions and geographies to achieve results · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Good team player, quick learner and collaborative · Project Management knowledge/experience is desired · Demonstrated career commitment to test automation and quality assurance is preferred Nice-to-have: · Knowledge/experience with storage and/or I/O sub-systems · Experience with testing techniques and tools, development test tools, diagnostic strategies
· Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent discipline is required · 4+ years of industry experience, with 2 or more years in Quality Assurance and/or test automation for system level software products ·
