QA Test Lead

The Test Lead-SDET will be responsible for managing multiple projects including task management for Quality Assurance Testers and/or Quality Improvement primarily in C# automation. The Test Lead – SDET works directly with the Lead QIA for their practice and the Quality Manager to identify areas of opportunity and ways to build and grow a world class quality program. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Supervise a test automation work includes but not limited to C# (VSTS) and QTP • Complete estimation, design automation framework and planning and test execution for projects assigned using automated scripts. • Identify the automation opportunities, estimate and provide plan with ROI. • Design the performance test scenario; construct the scripts using LoadRunner or Jmeter. • Supervise a team of employee and contract resources in support of the Quality Program based on project assignments. • Evaluate current procedures and practices for accomplishing the assigned work functions objectives to develop and implement improved procedures and practices and to ensure compliance with required standards. • Monitor the test automation progress; collaborate with Lead QIA, Quality Manager to provide ROI as well as Metrics with usage of automation. • Recommend staffing requirements and updates to the resource forecast • Perform other duties as assigned or self-initiated.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• 6-8 years of Quality Assurance industry experience with significant experience leading multiple software development testing efforts. • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred. • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including requirements analysis and application architecture knowledge. • Strong programming skills in Microsoft .Net technologies, C#, WCF, WPF, VB Script • Comprehensive knowledge of testing methodologies, problem solving skills and application debugging from a technical and business perspective • Hands on experience with VSTS Ultimate tool automation using C#, Coded UI, Web services • Experience in building custom test automation frameworks, including reporting • Experience in windows and API testing • Passion for new technologies and a quick self-learner • Proficiency with performance and load testing tools to include (but not limited to) JMeter, LoadRunner etc • Fluent in Agile development techniques including XP, Scrum, Test Driven Development and Code reviews • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic team-oriented environment. • Strong knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project).
