We currently have a long term Contracting opportunity for an Application Development Analyst (GIS) with our client located in Philadelphia, PA.  

 

Description:    

 

Project info:

Will be working on 2 different services:

1.) Network Costing Matrix Service/Method:  This service/method is an amalgamation of a Costing Matrix database table that is used as the primary data source for cost information and is categorized by plant type and entity definition.  The Costing Service accepts one or more routes and applies the costing matrix based on overlay boundary method and then outputs a detailed breakdown of cost for the route classifications along with a summary of the estimated total cost for each route.  The costing results provides the user with options for total cost to build.

 

2.) Network Solve Service: The “Network Solve” GP service derives a number of trace solves by type (fiber splice case / coaxial RF Tap) for a defined radius around an input location opportunity. The GP service would call an Oracle proximity search along with an ArcGIS Trace API to derive the traces based on  least route impedance.

 

- Custom code, scripts, data packages, binaries, or other delivery artifacts will be source controlled using GitHub.

- Once the build and unit testing are complete, the solution will be deployed to the Client's test/staging environment.

- GIS data sources are in an Oracle database instance.

 

Desired skills:

GIS knowledge/exposure is required.

Oracle Spatial knowledge exposure/experience is required.

.NET Framework is required.

.NET code development is required.

GPS & GIS experience (highly preferred)

ESRI GIS Software experience - (highly preferred)

 

Programing a “wrapper” around COE GIS map services

- Method 1 - User supplies street address

- OR, Method 2 - User supplies latitude longitude

- Automatic calls to Geocoding, Proximity service

- Automatic call to Network service and cost computation to first two proximity feature
