One Week to Go: World Digital Preservation Day 2025!

The countdown is on! In just one week, on Thursday 6 November, the global digital preservation community will celebrate World Digital Preservation Day (WDPD2025) under the theme “Why Preserve?”

For the first time ever, WDPD takes place during the International Conference on Digital Preservation where we’ll officially open the Day and launch our global Why Preserve? campaign during the conference’s closing ceremony, equipping the digital preservation community worldwide with compelling advocacy messages and resources to champion the importance of preserving our digital assets.

From there, celebrations will ripple across the globe with blogs, vlogs, and events showcasing the creativity and dedication of our worldwide digital preservation community in action.
