I have been using the test strategy within Software Planner where you
have a library of "regression" tests and some of those tests are
copied to "sprint" folders to record results for different builds.
I would like to see a report or chart that indicates that all of my
library testcases have been ran with the latest result from the
"sprint" folders. I think it would be possible to create a this, but I
am wondering if this functionality has already been created as this
should be a deliverable for any testing project.

Hi Seth,

Have you used the Test Run History report, I think that gives you what
you asking for. To run that, click Reports, Test Case Reports, Test
Run History by Project. If that does not do what you need, let us
know.

The Test Run History report doesn't show exactly what we need.
Assuming we have it configured properly.
Here's a list of things we'd like to see in a report:

1. A list of all testcases (regardless of state) within the project.
This will provide data for testcases that have not been executed.

2. Testcases are grouped by TestCase Title. This will allow for the
fact that testcases are copied and executed in "sprint" folders.

3. Testcases would then be sorted by date and the status would be
provided as well.

4. A bar or pie chart which accounts for only the latest state of each
"testcase group".

We are not presently porting our Requirements into Software Planner,
there is no data to be linked to there as of now.

Thanks

Hi Seth,

Are you an existing client or just trialing the software? If you are
a customer, we have options for custom reporting. If you are an
existing Enterprise client, you can create a custom report that does
exactly what you need by doing it in Crystal Reports and posting it
into Software Planner. If you are an existing SaaS client, our
Professional Services team can create that custom report on your
behalf -- there is a charge for our Professional Services, let us know
if you want a quote on that.

Thanks.

Hi Seth,

I agree that a report like this sounds like a good addition to what we
have today. Can you send me more details about what you like to see
(layout, fields to show, graphs to show, sort order, grouping
criteria, etc). If you can put this into a MS Word document and email
it to me (steve....@softwareplanner.com), I will see what we can
pull together for you.

Steve
