ISO 10497:2010 specifies fire type-testing requirements and a fire type-test method for confirming the pressure-containing capability of a valve under pressure during and after the fire test. It is not applicable to the testing requirements for valve actuators other than manually operated gear boxes or similar mechanisms when these form part of the normal valve assembly. Other types of valve actuators (e.g. electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic) can need special protection to operate in the environment considered in this valve test, and the fire testing of such actuators is outside the scope of ISO 10497:2010.
Finally: Some may have noticed that the landing skids don't sit perfectly flush on this alternate build, this is because the instructions omitted the pin stops needed for a flush fit as on the regular 10497, note the added black pins in each well:
I modified it quite a bit (with non 10497 parts) for a thinner, simpler and sleeker overall shape, a nicer cockpit, better seating position, a vertical thruster like the bigger ships, and I added detachable armament pods under the wings, allowing this little fighter to carry the large cannons of the 928 and 924.
It requires for sure extra pieces, at the least the blue reversed slopes.
I modded the end of 10497 bit myself with a sloped end just below the tails besides the reverse slopes at the bottom, and was lucky enough to have the necessary pieces from the Emmett's Dream House set (70831).
I decided to build all three ships from only two sets, so I had to use some parts from my inventory, and order some more, to complete the 918. Along the way I decided to mod it in a few areas, and the main mod was adding retractable landing gear. The landing pads are 3x3 round tiles, as they were easier to accommodate and I thought the 4x4 rounded-square tiles that come with the 10497 set look a little big on the 918 model. I had to rework the entire inner structure, but I was able to make the retractable gear sit flush when retracted.
Building the 10497 Galaxy Explorer is a joyful journey of LEGO Spaceship perfection, with some really outstanding design techniques employed to craft the subtle angles and call-back features of the original into a sleek, modern and futuristic package.
That said, 10497 Galaxy Explorer is a modern classic, and masterclass in LEGO Spacecraft, with terrific techniques and sleek aesthetics that proudly carry on the legacy of LEGO Classic Space. I hope this does well enough to inspire LEGO to bring forth a proper Classic Space renaissance.
928 Galaxy Explorer being a 40+ year old set is quite a rarity, but with 10497 Galaxy Explorer, it now flings open the door to so many LEGO fans, old and new to experience (some for the first time) the wonders of LEGO Classic Space in such epic fashion.
Another comparison which might interest our readers is with 70816 Benny's Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP!, the closest we had been to a Classic Space reboot before this most recent addition to the fleet. They are certainly a similar length but 10497 has a larger planform and definitely looks more substantial.
10497 Galaxy Explorer includes 1,254 pieces and will be available August 1. It can be pre-ordered now for US $99.99 CAN $129.99 UK 89.99. It may also be available from third-party sellers on Amazon and eBay.
Join the celebrations to mark 90 years of LEGO creations with this nostalgic building project for adults. This anniversary collectible edition of the Classic 497 LEGO Galaxy Explorer model (10497) retains all the joy of the 1979 set but on a bigger scale.

This was my first order from Brickstickershop, the sheets are well produced and are perfect addition to complete set 10497 if you want to build more than one of them, this will allow you to have 3 with different numbers on them. However I would have preferred if they were for the 6 x1 brick rather than the 4x1 brick. I love the LL928-A sticker. It was the main reason I bought this sheet

Discussion PapersAbstract:Using a new daily dataset for all stocks traded on the New York Stock Exchange between 1905 and 1910, we study the impact of information asymmetry during the liquidity freeze and market run of October 1907 - one of the most severe financial crises of the 20th century. We estimate that the market run drove up spreads from 0.5% to 3% during the peak of the crisis and, using a spread decomposition, we identify information risk as the largest component of illiquidity. Information costs rose most in the mining sector - the origin of the stock corner and a sector with among the worst track records of corporate governance and accounting. We find other hallmarks of information-based illiquidity: trading volume dropped and price impact rose. Despite short-term cash infusions into the market, the market remained relatively illiquid for several months following the peak of the panic. Notably, market illiquidity risk is priced in the cross section of stock returns. Thus, our findings demonstrate how opaque systems allow idiosyncratic rumors to spread and amplify into a long-lasting, market-wide crisis. Keywords: Information risk; Liquidity risk; Price discovery; Rumour-based panic (search for similar items in EconPapers)
