Is anybody using the Thinknode M3 with Linar's SoftRF ("Pocket edition")? I'm considering making my version of SoftRF support this device. But first would like to know:
* Do you have to buy the Meshtastic version of the M3, or does the LoraWAN version work as well?
* If you connect it to a PC via USB, does it open as a "mass storage device"? Here I do *not* mean the fake
"mass storage device" to which you can drag a UF2 firmware file. Rather, I mean an additional files area where you can, for example, write a small text file. On the T-Echo, for example, this opens if you simply connect to a PC, without clicking the button to access the UF2 update mode. I need this files area for storing the SoftRF settings.txt file.
Searching on the web, I cannot find any info on how much flash ROM space the M3 has.
Yes I know about the T1000E, which is a fairly similar device, which I hear does have a file storage area. But setting up the T1000E for SoftRF is an involved process, which I could do, but many people would not like it.
