Up to date ogn.cdb file

Hi,

The soaringweather.no-ip.info link is not working anymore.

How do I get an up to date ddb file to SoftRF?

Uh oh.  I never understood who set up that server.  Maybe it will come back?  If it doesn't, may need to figure out the algorithm to convert the OGN DDB (which is downloadable as a plain text file) to the CDB format.  Meanwhile, the last version of the CDB file from that server that I downloaded is from March 8 2025, not terribly out of date.  Available here:

That web site is now back up, but I don't see the ogn.cdb file there.  Maybe it will return after that site runs the precedure it does once a day?  Meanwhile I've adapted one version of CDB software to create my own tool to convert the downloaded OGN DDB to the CDB format.  If anybody wants to try the ogn.cdb file it created from yesterday's data, let me know.  Once it is verified that it works with SkyView (or SoftRF on the T-Echo) then I will add that tool to my github repo.  The tool is a Windows console app.

Yup.  The shell script (for the OGN file) is here:

and the conversion to CDB format is via this python script:

But whether that is the process via which the file on http://soaringweather.no-ip.info/ gets updated I cannot tell.

It seems, by clicking the latest run , like this for example

Then under Artifacts Data container. It will download Data.zip which contains both versions .db and .cdb
But the link  http://soaringweather.no-ip.info/  still doesn't work.
I am opening ogn.db file in SQlite browser . but the problem I have, I see registrations , but there are no hex id s ?
May be someone can explain how to use it?

SkyView used to use the data in SQLITE format, but I've changed it to use CDB, same as SoftRF on the T-Echo was already doing.   (Or maybe it was the other way around?)

I do have a tool now to do the conversion from the OGN DDB download to CDB right on my computer.  I'll add it to my SoftRF github repo soon, I hope.  Ideally I would like somebody to confirm that the file it generated really works with SkyView (or SoftRF on the T-Echo).
