Is anybody using my SoftRF in the P3I (Pilot Aware) protocol?  Does it work?  Is it then received by standard OGN ground stations, or only by dedicated Pilot Aware ground stations?

I just fired up my PAW station to test it:
  • my PAW station receives P3I packets from SoftRF, both on 868.2 and 869.52 MHz
  • my OGN station does not receive anything, need to consult Pawel for this
  • also Pawel's OGN tracker which transmits P3I is only received by the PAW station

I am pretty sure last time I tried this OGN station did not receive PI3

I've been using it successfully for a few years, just checked my xcountry flight last week and I'm being picked up by the ground stations. I assume they're all Pilotaware capable as I'm not sure if OGN only stations are used in the UK. I don't remember seeing any other PAW aircraft but as it was a high cloudbase I expect the power guys were generally out of range. I'm not using the very latest MB SoftRF, would have to check which version.

The PilotAware upgraded ground stations should receive it fine (PWOGN stations)
These in addition to the usual dongle have a PilotAware transceiver board that both receives P3i and also rebroadcasts Flarm signals on the P3i system to give light aircraft awareness of gliders / hang gliders, they also feed the P3i data into the OGN network.
