"iPad Firmware corruption: I've tried to restore my iPad several times (10xtimes) without successful. Every time it says firmware is corrupt. Doesn't allow me to update so I can update firmware. Any Suggestions?"
Have been given an iPad 2 (Wifi and 3G) but i just cant get it to work. iTunes sees it and says its in recovery mode and i try to restore (both by just clicking restore) and by manually trying by downloading the correct update. Nothing I try works. I either get an error code (21, 1600) etc or it just gets to about 75% done and says "restoring ipad firmware" and nothing happends. Any way i can get it to restore?
It happend to me last night as well. I keep getting the same two errors 3965 and 4005 and i am unable to restore any ipsw firmware version on my iPad 2.
I just clicked update ipad software to 7.0.3 when prompted in itunes and it didn't go through with it.
Is there any solution for this? Or should I take this to an Apple Store? Thanks
the only way to restore your Ipad 2 is to open your Ipad and remove the LCD screen then you have to remove the volume control doughterboard connectore cable from the logic board (you can see this in youtube how to open your Ipad). Then connect your ipad to PC and make restore through Itunes it will take 5 minuts maxiumum.
I was trying to update my iPad 2 to IOS 8 but I accidentally disconnected the iPad from iTunes so I had to restore the iPad. But every time I try to restore the iPad the progress bar gets to about 60% and gets stuck and on iTunes it just says restoring iPad firmware. How do I get my iPad to restore so I can update?
Trying to restore a dev iPad to iPad_Fall_2018_13.0_17A5492t_Restore.ipsw on a 2018 iPad Pro 12.9", and I keep getting "This iPad could not be restored because the firmware is not compatible"
Apple usually recommends that you update your firmware as one of the first steps when troubleshooting problems with an iPad. However, new isn't always better, and you may find yourself needing to downgrade if you've upgraded the device unintentionally. Downgrading allows you to keep your jailbreak and retain access to apps that are beneficial to your business, including the Voicemail Forwarder for forwarding voicemails to email, or Anyattach for email attachments. Downgrading was easy in the past but now requires SHSH blobs, or signatures, from Apple. However, Apple only provides signatures for the most recent iOS, thereby disabling older firmwares. Although a jailbreak is not required to downgrade, saving your SHSH blobs prior to downgrading is. The blobs contain the digital fingerprint for your iPad and if you don't back them up on the older firmware, you cannot install that firmware.
I realized what you said is the issue. My celebration was premature. I was getting fast downloads inside with the Ipad right next to the Asiair. When outside, even a few feet away, the speeds dropped dramatically. I didn't have this issue until updating the firmware. Gets back to my original question - any way to go back to earlier version of software?
The question of how to perform a factory reset of firmware has not been answered. The thread is how to get back to factory firmware. I downloaded v1.9.1 - 9.97 and immediately lost connection from my EQMOD cable to my HEQ5 mount. I want to go back to the previous firmware/software version if possible.
ZWO keeps ASIAIR firmware as a payload in the ASIAIR app itself. So, unless you have some older version of the app, you will not be able to run the ASIAIR box on the older matching firmware. If you have an older app, you can first install firmware that is at least as old as the firmware in the ASIAIR app you want to run, like the one you had archived and saved, or the copy that the third generation ASIAIR has archived for you. You can then update the firmware to the one that matches the app.
I'm noticing a lot of bugs with this new firmware that came out last week (?). I'd like to go back to whatever was current in June. I had no problems at all then, and now, after the newest firmware install, all of a sudden I'm having all sorts of problems....
An open source update site where Apple Device firmware is provided. It supports all global regions. With iPad Firmware, you can download the latest updated firmware ROM for any Apple devices. It is completely free and is the official original firmware released by Apple company.
This firmware is aimed to lock and unlock an iPad, but you can change the On / off setting in the firmware to whatever you want.
it uses a Space to unlock and CTRL+CMD+h to lock. (make sure automatic lock is turned of if you want Homey to control the locking and unlocking).
I am attempting to get this to work. Thusfar I am able to upload wifi sketch to the esp32 and get an ipadress. I am also able to inlcude the device on Homey. And then it gets messy. I cant get the esp32 to connect to the ipad using BLE because I cant wrap my head around the coding. I always sucked at coding. Is somebody willing to help out a script-kiddy?

This ensures that the iPad firmware you get is legit and not modified by anyone other than Apple.
